Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath App Reviews

Hey, Stranger! Been a fan since the old Abe games (when are you porting them and MUNCH to a touchscreen??), and this game is features some of the best plot twists - taking a fun western/steampunk setting and bringing in real emotion and high level action. Its a fun combination of open world exploring, bad guy punching, talking to chicken people and octopus men and adding a bunch of first person shooter where you fire little animals from your crossbow (like sniper wasps, exploding bats and tribbles that bite). The voice acting is fun and crude, and the action gets intense, with a huge midpoint twist. The only concern would be that the game gets really tough (even on on easy) but you can look up solutions online. But theres not really anything like this game on iOS. I cant believe how emotionally involving the game gets - and the port from Xbox is excellent on an iPhone 6 and above. EXCELLENT! Please bring all the odd world titles back from the steef graveyard so new generations can enjoy them. A great deal of a game.

Buy it, buy it, buy it!!!! Awesome story line, great graphics and characters. Im only disappointed that I cant play it anymore!!!! Why isnt tilt to aim on iPhone fsw more of a thing? Its amazing you simply tilt your phone to aim, theres way more physical skill in doing it, its way more fun/challenging, and it leads you to gain much more from hand eye coordination. Does anyone know of any other tilt to aim games in the App Store for Apple? Please make more odd world games!!!!

Im a big Oddworld fan, and this is great. I think it was well worth the money, and I rarely ever spend any for iPhone games.

To the people who made this game I wanna say thank you and please continue to make more of these because the game market is filled with dumb RPG games and this game you do everything and thats how a game should be. This is be far my favorite console port on iOS! The graphics are amazing the quest is truly epic and the story has a Darth Revan class twist about 2/3 of the way through. Some people are complaining about the graphics not running well or poor textures. If you have an iPhone 6 or later this baby purs like a vett at 90 mph! I play a lot of games and this is easily my coequal favorite iOS game along with Final Fantasy VIthe main difference is FFVI costs literally over 5X more than Wrath and it is certainly not 5x the game. Thus dollar for dollar wrath is by far my favorite portable game of all time!

This is a console quality game for your phone. Huge open world to roam around in. You control the character using two (virtual) joysticks like you would on a console game, but they added the extra feature of letting you fine tune your aiming by tilting your phone -- trust me the controls are totally seamless and intuitive. Theres a ton of wacky weapons that are all a lot of fun to catch bad guys with. You can either play the missions by blasting through Rambo style, or by being more sneaky and strategic, or a combination of both. The storyline and characters are all really kooky and funny. And the game is hours and hours long. Oh, and you can also turn down the music/sound fx and listen to podcasts while you play which is important to me.

Ive been a big fan of Oddworld since I was a kid and this app delivers. You dont get the kind of tweakability or play value that you do from this game that Ive gotten from any other title on a phone. A full-fledged story mode, beautiful graphics (that are fully changeable to suit your phone), a great UI for the device and a fantastic overall package. I will say, youre gonna want to play this on larger phones, the 6 or the 6 plus, but man, it is worth the money. You dont get a console-caliber game like this very often.

I originally purchased this game because I was looking through final fantasy reviews and someone said that this game is $2.99 and its better so I decided to give it a shot on iOS. Having played through most of it on Xbox years ago i decided to go ahead with the purchase. The good: Solid graphics Funny dialogue Good character movement The bad: Tedious and repetitive First person is weird to aim I gave it 3 stars because I cant see myself finishing this game anytime soon. The controls are just plain weird. I would much rather pay an extra few dollars to buy something I will enjoy playing. So Im giving up on this for now and buying final fantasy 7.

Best game gone mobile! Everything is perfect but one little thing that could make this game completely perfect....the sniper/binoculars button isnt on the screen, so the player cant use the little green needle looking insects we obtain in the game, thats the only thing that killed it for me, loved everything else tho just please please please fix the problem! Thank You!

remember this is an iPhone game (well a console port) read the tutorial! Shake the device to heal btw, its very fun and doesnt loose my interest, its definitely console quality and the touch controls are near perfection (they can be adjusted)

When this game originally came out a few years back, it totally passed me by. I bought it on a whim when I noticed it on the App Store for 50% off. That was not a mistake. I finished the game only a few minutes ago, and every moment was incredible! There are elements that feel a little rough around the edges, or not fleshed out enough, but it doesnt detract from the game. You pretty much have all of your weapons and abilities from the start, but the ways you can use them are incredible. Its up to you to experiment with weapon combinations and tactics, and it really keeps the game feeling fresh. There is a little lack of diversity among enemy types, but ultimately, it didnt matter, because I had so much fun planning my attack, and then having to improvise when things went wrong. The constant switch between third and first-person mechanics is handled flawlessly, and as a result, this game is unlike any other game I have played. Aside from the incredibly solid gameplay mechanics, this game has an engaging storyline that repeatedly takes interesting turns. The only major negative thing I encountered, was that the touch controls, which are actually some of the best controls Ive seen in an action game, still become a little clunky on the more difficult boss battles. Ultimately, I have not played an iOS game I have liked this much, maybe ever, and this game is ranking way up in my top twenty, or maybe even top ten games on any system.

Ive never played this game till now because Ive never wanted to own a Xbox. The moment I hooked this up to AirPlay on my Apple TV a long with my controller it worked flawlessly. Controller worked without any bugs or glitches. Theres a graphics settings that lets you crank it up if you have a faster iPhone/iPad and I have to say that in loving this feature because you never see this in many games. The gameplay is amazing and does feel well worth its price tag.

Oddworld: Strangers Wrath is a great, and good game. This was part of the quintology, of the Oddworld series, of games. No matter what happens it still is great, as to play. Though after Oddworld Munchs Oddysee it was also launched for the Microsoft Xbox system, and now it has landed for mobile. Well it is good.

This is one of the best games of its time. It takes time getting use of the controls. If you read The Hobbit Eman review he does not read the instructions of the game. You just have to shake you device to gain health. As for the enemies are simple if you are having trouble you can adjust the difficulty of the game. The only problems are the camera angles and the controls but once you get them down the game is solid.

Fun but some levels are to hard.Also since its a open world can you add that he can eat drink and own his own house.And most important new weapons please add new weapons.One more thing let there be pets to help him a little I hope you like my idea and good luck with the game.
